NEW COURT OFFICES
AND LIBRARY FOR
CLYDE PETROLEUM PLC.
LEDBURY
Completion 1989
This RIBA National and Civic Trust Award winning scheme involved the restoration and adaptation of a farmhouse and barn for the headquarters of a British independent oil company.
The brief requirements were for purpose built offices, conference room, library and staff facilities. The existing buildings consist of a listed late 18th century brick house and granary surrounded by ponds, mature trees and shrubs set in the Malvern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Sensitivecareful detailing and selective use of natural materials were required to retain the contextual character and style of the site.
