NUNHEAD, LONDON
2nd Place (Runner-up)
Competitive Interview
The practice's submission for the design of a new Church, Church Hall and Vicarage for the parish of Nunhead sought to maximize the attributes of a tight but interesting triangular site in South London.
The ovaloid form of the church offered the advantageof the circular plan with its focus on the altar, combined with East West axis.
The simple layout provides separate access to the three
constituent parts whilst offering great flexibility for simultaneous uses. |
