The aim of the Woodlawns development is to create a welcoming one-stopStreatham communities Hub for older people and their carers. The project comprises the construcion of three new buildings:
The cafe, Stair/liftcore and a Garden Room and the renovation of two existing buildings: Coach House and Main House. The cafe is a hevavily glazed single structure designed to give maximun visibility to the complex, advertising the community Carers Hub and signaling its presence on the street.

In order to achieve maximum accessiblity and compliances with DDA legislation, a new 13 person lift and ambulant disable core was located in the space between the two existing buildings: Coach House and Main House. A ‘Through’ lift enables both levels of each
of the existing buildingsto be accessed.
