DEMENTIA CARE UNIT

This state of the art specialist care unit comprises 24 bedrooms arranged around two secure courtyard spaces, with day rooms facing south over the extensive existing landscaped gardens. On a steeply sloping site, a very accessible new building has been carefully designed to integrate with the existing adjacent residential and care homes set at different levels.

Residents, staff and visitors will have good orientation while moving through the building. Circulation and principal spaces are distinctively individual, domestic in scale and with good aspect to the outside.

Bedrooms will enjoy outlook upon the existing late Gothic Revival Chapel, the rare Turner Oak and the adjacent Link Common which were each key topographical features to be acknowledged by the new building.
